Update on Matt's Cancer

Matt is still in Toronto undergoing treatment. The doctors are still trying to figure out what is going on. The pathology report has been delayed in Windsor and is now a week behind.
Meanwhile the mass under Matt's left arm has increased 3x since first diagnosis. He shared these words with me from a Rich Mullens song:

"If I Stand Let ME Stand on the Promise YOU will pull through . . .
If I can't let me fall on the grace on the grace that first brought me to you."

Please continue to uphold Matt in your prayers and feel free to post any comments here for him to read from Toronto.

Hey Matt,
I've leaned on the Lord through Rich Mullins' songs too.
For a while mine was hold me Jesus 'cause I'm shaking like a leaf. You have been King of my glory, won't you be my Prince of peace. There's something in that song about life not making sense and right now this doesn't make sense. I'm sorry you're going through this. Please know you have friends/ Christian brothers and sisters back in Windsor praying for you and your recovery. I pray you will feel Jesus holding you, walking with you through this.

Matt

Take comfort in Christ, cast all of your anxieties upon him for he cares for you. I have taken comfort in those words many times although never while fighting for my life. I'm sure that you are aware of God's presence there with you and I know that it is easier said than done, but keep fighting and give all of your fears and pain up to Christ, let his will be done in your life.

Beloved, do not be surprised at the fiery trial when it comes upon to test you, as though something strange were happening to you. But rejoice insofar as you share Christs sufferings, that you may also rejoice and be glad when his glory is revealed. 1 Peter 4:12,13

I found the above passage just this evening as I opened my dusty bible and I feel that God wanted me to share it with you. Miracles are very real,I've seen them happen within my own family. Remember that nothing is over until it's over!

Hey Matt!

We just had to write and say "HI" from our family. You have been in our prayers since Aaron told us of your illness. Our pray is that the Lord may work a miracle in your life and heal you. Along the way our pray is for the Lord's comfort and peace in your life. May you be strengthened and uplifted by the prayers and love being sent to you through our Father! We look forward to seeing you soon and worshipping our most awesome Creater, Redeemer and Saviour together! We are all a part of the family of God and therefore we will carry this burden together with you. Rejoice in the Lord today Matt!

All of our love,
The Thiessen's- Ed, Koanita, Tristan, and Felicia
